Temporary Road Closure

Pursuant to the Section 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 2002, notice is hereby given that for the purpose of the Warm Up Party for Beach Hop, the following roads will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated below. During the period of closure provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic, which would otherwise use the road, to use alternative routes.

Date of closure: Wednesday 21 March 2018.

Time of closure: 8:00am to 3:00pm.

Roads to close: Waihi – SH2 from School Lane to Kenny St (SH25); Seddon St from Moresby Ave to Gilmour St; Haszard St and Mueller St from Seddon St to the service lanes.

Alternative provision for ordinary vehicular traffic will be made with signs, cones and barriers to redirect traffic on detour.

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

ANZAC Day Commemoration Parade and Service - Wednesday 25 April 2018

Citizens are invited to attend the Public Commemoration Parades and Services to be held in the Paeroa, Plains and Waihi Wards on Wednesday 25 April 2018.

Paeroa Ward 

The Public Commemoration Service in the Paeroa War Memorial Hall starts at 9:15 am.

The Parade will assemble in Marshall Street, Paeroa behind the RSA at 8:45 am. Organisation Markers are requested to report to the Parade Marshal by 8:45 am. The Parade will commence at 9:00 am proceeding to the War Memorial Hall via Wharf Street, Belmont Road and Normanby Road, Paeroa.

Plains Ward

The Public Commemoration Service in the Ngatea War Memorial Hall starts at 11:15 am.

The Parade will assemble in Pipiroa Road behind the RSA at 10:45 am. Organisation Markers are requested to report to the Parade Marshal at 10:45 am. The Parade will commence at 11:00 am proceeding to the War Memorial Hall via Pipiroa Road and Orchard West Road, Ngatea.

Waihi Ward

  • a relevant Tertiary Degree in Resource Management
  • a minimum of 2 years’ practical experience in Resource Management and Consents work.
