Temporary Road Closure

Pursuant to the Section 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 2002, notice is hereby given that for the purpose of the Go Waihi Market Day and Trolley Derby, the following roads will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated below. During the period of closure provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic, which would otherwise use the road, to use alternative routes.

Date of closure: Saturday 6 October 2018
Time of closure: 8.00am to 2.30pm.
Roads to close in Waihi:
8.00am to 2.30pm - Haszard St from top of Martha St to intersection of Haszard and Seddon St.
Midday to 2.30pm - Seddon St from Moresby Ave/ Rosemont Rd corner to the Haszard St roundabout.

Alternative provision for ordinary vehicular traffic will be made with signs, cones and barriers to redirect traffic on detour.

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

Intended Agri-Chemical Application

Weather permitting, herbicide applications will be made to property administered by Hauraki District Council. This will include Parks & Reserves, footpaths and walkways. Both Roundup and Versatill will be used between the months of 17 September 2018 and 31 January 2019.

This work will be carried out by either Council’s C&M Department or other contractors.

All applicators will be Grow safe accredited.
