Changes to Bylaws
We’ve made some minor administrative changes to Part 2: Land Transport of our Consolidated Bylaw because we are separating the large Hauraki District Council Consolidated Bylaw into separate standalone bylaws. This will make the bylaws easier to use.
Part 2: Land Transport has been separated into the following bylaws; Traffic and Parking Bylaw 2007, Speed Limits Bylaw 2013, and the Stock Crossing Bylaw 2007.
The bylaws have not been reviewed and the changes made are minor and do not affect an existing right, interest, title, immunity or duty, or an existing status or capacity of anyone to whom the bylaw applies.

Proposed Temporary Road Closure
Pursuant to the Section 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that for the purpose of a Motorsport Hillclimb event organised by Thames Valley Car Club it is intended to close the following road to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder. During the proposed period of closure provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic, which would otherwise use the road, to use alternative routes.
Period of closure: Sunday 22 September 2019, 10:00am to 5.00pm.
Road to be closed: Golden Cross Road, Waikino.
Alternative provision for ordinary vehicular traffic will be made with signs, cones and barriers to redirect traffic on detour.
It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the proposed period of closure.
