Storm water

Stormwater is rain water that runs off houses, roads and other areas. The purpose of the stormwater system is to provide a safe way for rainwater to drain away from where we live, work and play, and prevent flooding. Stormwater that runs off properties, roads and footpaths goes straight into our stormwater system.

Our storm water system is being continually maintained and improved to make our areas a safer and healthier place to live. The network includes open drains, pipes, pump stations and detention basins to help move storm water from our Urban areas.

Unfortunately, we no longer complete sewer and stormwater connections, please contact your local plumber/drain layer to give you a quote and complete these works for you. Please arrange for these works to be inspected by our Council Development Engineer.
