There is also a seasonal alcohol ban in place at Whiritoa over the Christmas/New Year period and long weekends.

If you are planning an event in an alcohol ban area and wish to include alcohol e.g. for a wedding ceremony, you will need to seek approval from Council by applying for Alcohol Ban Dispensation.
If a special alcohol licence has been issued for the sale of alcohol at an event, then dispensation to the Bylaw is automatically given and a further application for dispensation is not required.
