Kopuarahi Community Hall Meeting, Tuesday 14 May, 6pm.
Community halls are a feature of every rural town. In their heyday, they were the nucleus of the community - but modern life is seeing their use on the decline - should that be reversed? This is your opportunity to kōrero about the future of the Kopuarahi Hall - we really encourage you to get involved if you live locally.
Unlike our Memorial Halls, community halls are managed by the community, usually with a volunteer hall committee as an incorporated society. At the moment, there is no committee in place for Kopuarahi Hall, the hall is under-utilised and starting to deteriorate. Council does not collect rates for this hall. It's a decision for the community to decide its future. Will you step up? Please join us:
When: Tuesday 14 May, 6pm
Where: Kopuarahi Community Hall, State Highway 25, Pipiroa
Why: Discuss the future of the Kopuarahi Hall.
