Antenno
Do I have to pay for Antenno?
No. Antenno is completely free. There are no ads either.
Do I need to log in or provide personal information?
No. Antenno doesn’t require a login or any personal details. Just enter the addresses of places you’re interested in and you’re set.
Does the app track my location?
No. There is no location tracking. You enter the addresses of the places you want to receive alerts for. You may choose to share your current location when submitting a report but that's not mandatory. It is possible to indicate the location of the issue searching for an address or tapping on the map.
Why do I have to save places as specific addresses?
Antenno sends you information relevant to the places that you are interested in. If it covered an entire district, you’d end up sifting through posts that are not of interest to you. If something affects the whole area, you’ll still receive it regardless of which address you’ve saved.
Can I receive alerts for places outside Hauraki District Council’s area?
Yes. If another council uses Antenno, you’ll receive alerts for any address you save in their area too. For example, if you own a property in another district and that council uses Antenno, just add the address and you’ll receive their updates.
Can I opt out of certain topics or places?
Yes. Each post has a settings icon that allows you to opt out of that topic. You can also opt back in at any time through My Places on the app.
How do I know which place a notification relates to?
Each notification shows which of your saved places it relates to, with the place’s nickname displayed at the top. If a notification is relevant to multiple saved places, all their nicknames will appear.
Why haven’t I received any notifications recently?
If there haven’t been any incidents or updates relevant to your saved places, you won’t receive notifications. Antenno will let you know when something comes up.
Why are my notifications sometimes delayed?
Antenno needs a Wi-Fi connection or mobile data to receive notifications. If you’re offline, you’ll receive any notifications relating to your places once you’re connected again.
I can’t find my address in the app. What should I do?
Antenno uses Google for its address data. New addresses appear once Google Maps is updated. In the meantime, save a nearby address or a street name. Nearby addresses generally receive the same notifications. Tip: if using a street name, choose a short street for the most accurate results.
What happens when I report an issue?
We’ll respond via the app during business hours to let you know we’ve received your report and have passed it to the relevant team. Any further follow-up will come directly from that team by email or phone.
For URGENT requests anytime please phone 07 862 8609 or freephone 0800 734 834 (from within the District) so we can respond immediately. Antenno reports are reviewed and processed during business hours.
Is my privacy protected?
Yes. Antenno doesn’t require personal information or a login. You can read the full Antenno privacy policy at https://datacom.com/nz/en/legal/antenno-privacy-policy
