Managing your rates just got easier

You now have an easier way to manage your rates. Council launched Payble, an online payment platform that gives you more flexibility in how and when you pay your rates.

Available from 18 May 2026, Payble lets you view your rates balances in real time, spread payments in a way that suits your budget, and manage both property and water rates in one place.

This new platform is here to make paying rates simple.

“We know everyone manages their household budget differently. Whether you'd rather pay smaller amounts more often or pay it off at once, Payble gives you that choice. You can also pay off your property rates without penalties, as long as you meet the payment terms, and get ahead on your water rates to reduce future invoices,” Council says.

To sign up, you’ll need your assessment number from your rates notice and a secure sign-up code from Council. Codes are available by calling 07 862 8609, or 0800 734 834, via any Council service centre, or picking one up at a support session.

We are running free support sessions across the district in June, between 10am and 12pm at Waihī Library and Service Centre, Paeroa Library and Ngātea Service Centre and Library.

June dates:

Thursday 4, Monday 8, Wednesday 10, Friday 12, Tuesday 16, Tuesday 23, Tuesday 30.
