Hauraki District Plan Notification of Operative Plan Change 2

Notice is hereby given that at its meeting on 10 June 2026 the Hauraki District Council approved changes to the Hauraki District Plan arising from Proposed Plan Change 2: Waihī; Residential and Industrial Re-zoning at Bradford Street, Thorn Road and Ford Road and amends provisions to enable increased density of development (at Bradford Street).

In accordance with clause 20 (1) of Schedule 1 of the Resource Management Act 1991, Plan Change 2 will become ‘Operative’ on 1 July 2026.

The amended Hauraki District Plan will be available to view at our service centres, libraries and on our website from 1 July 2026.
