Your community, your update: Come kōrero at your Ward Meeting
Got a question about your town? Curious about what’s happening in your community? Or keen to meet the councillors representing your rohe? Come along and kōrero with us at one of our upcoming Ward Meetings.
These hui are a chance to catch up on what’s happening in your area, ask questions, share ideas and hear directly from your councillors, Mayor Toby and Council staff.
You don’t need a big issue to raise or a list of questions prepared. Whether you’re curious about a local project, want to know more about Council’s mahi, or simply want to put some faces to names, you’re welcome.
It’s all about keeping connected and making sure our communities know what’s happening around them.
We’d love to see you there
We had a great turnout at our last round of Ward Meetings, and it was wonderful to see so many of you come along and kōrero with us. This time, we’d love to see even more of our community in the room.
These meetings are a chance to ask the questions you’ve been wondering about, share what’s happening in your neighbourhood and hear more about the things that matter to your community.
With Mayor Toby, your councillors and Council staff there, you’ll have the chance to connect with the people involved in the mahi happening across the district and get answers to your questions.
A little friendly competition
There’s some extra motivation this year, too. Our councillors from each ward have challenged one another to see which ward can get the best turnout at its meeting.
So, whether you’re from Paeroa, the Plains or Waihī, come along and support your rohe. The councillors will be keeping an eye on the numbers, so let’s see which community brings it on.
No pressure, though. There may be a few bragging rights up for grabs.

Plains Ward Meeting
- When: Wednesday 28 October, 5:30 - 7 pm
- Where: Kaiaua Community Hall
Waihī Ward Meeting
- When: Thursday 12 November, 5:30- 7 pm
- Where: Waihī Memorial Hall
