Ngātea Swimming Pool

There are two pools in Ngātea; the main pool is 33 yards long with 6 lanes, as well as a small learner’s pool. Heated to 27 degrees Celsius.

Facilities

Facilities include: toilets, changing rooms, BBQ tables and shade shelters.

Swimming Season

Open

Our Ngātea Pool is open daily during the summer months. 16 November 2024 until 9 March 2025. View the hours below.

The Council employs lifeguards along with a supervisor to oversee the day to day operation of the pools.

Parents and caregivers are encouraged to dress babies and infants in ‘Little Swimmers’, which can be purchased on-site, so nobody has to worry about accidents.

The small pool will NOT be available on:

Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30pm - 5:00pm, until 18 December 2024
