Paeroa Swimming Pool

The Paeroa pool is 25 metres long with 6 lanes. Heated to 27degrees celsius.

Facilities include: toilets, changing rooms, BBQ tables and shade shelters.

Swimming Season

CLOSED

Our Paeroa Pool is now closed for the 2025/26 season and will be open for the 2026/27 season in November 2026.

During the swimming season the Council employs lifeguards along with a supervisor to oversee the day to day operation of the pools.

Parents and caregivers are encouraged to dress babies and infants in ‘Little Swimmers’, which can be purchased on-site, so nobody has to worry about accidents.

Pool Inflatables

We provide large pool inflatables at each of our pools on particular dates, between 1pm and 3pm.

Activity on the inflatables is monitored by our trained lifeguards. All participants must follow direction of the lifeguards at all times, for safety reasons.

We’ve introduced salt chlorination at Paeroa Pool

We’ve introduced salt chlorination at Paeroa Pool, having previously used chlorine gas to sanitise the pool. This new system provides a better swimming experience by protecting against pathogens and germs without the use of harsh chemicals. It offers a gentler option that reduces the risk of red, irritated eyes, and dry or damaged skin and hair.

Key Benefits:

Lower maintenance with an automated system to control filtration and chlorine production.
Pools will still be sanitised to the required levels.
Environmentally friendly.
Expected savings of approximately $10k per season.
