To help ensure your bins are collected safely and efficiently:
Place your bins at the kerb by 7:30am on your collection day.
Position bins with the Council logo facing the road.
Leave at least 60cm of space between each bin and keep them clear of parked cars, trees, power poles, letterboxes and other obstacles so the collection truck can easily access them.
Place bins on the kerb, not on the road or footpath, where they may obstruct pedestrians or vehicles.
Keep lids fully closed and avoid overfilling your bins.
In windy conditions, use the bin lid clip to help keep the lid secure and prevent materials from blowing away.
Ensure only the correct materials are placed in each bin by checking what is accepted for your kerbside service.
Leave your bins out until the end of the day, as collection times may vary.
Return your bins to your property as soon as practical after they have been emptied.
If you live in a flat, on a shared driveway or in a cul-de-sac, work with your neighbours to agree on a suitable collection point.
