Monitoring Reports

Each of the mines in the Hauraki District is authorised via resource consent (except the original Martha Pit, processing and tailings storage facilities which were authorised via a Mining Licence in 1987), that require regular monitoring reports to be provided to the Council on:

• mine development (including plans updated monthly showing the location of underground workings);
• filled/unfilled stopes, seismic and rock movement;
• mine land stability;
• dewatering and ground settlement;
• noise;
• vibration;
• social impacts;
• complaints;
• heritage features; etc.

For privacy reasons the data has had all references removed that would allow for the identification of individual people or properties.

If you require to see reports earlier than those listed below they can be available on request from Council.
